The staff at this establishment is exceptionally friendly and creates an inviting hometown atmosphere. The cleanliness is impeccable. The food is exceptional, came out hot and was season to perfection. I will certainly return.
Just left The Smoking Egg and I AM VERY pleased. Greeted by very friendly staff. My Crawfish and Grits were very good. Laidback chill vibe in a clean environment. I WILL RETURN to support this minority owned business for sure. Bring your Friends!!!
We had a fantastic brunch. The vibe was chill and bright with a great playlist. The service was friendly, efficient, and precise. I had the crawfish and grits in Tasso cream sauce, a side of chicken livers and onions, and collard greens. My partner ordered salmon, candied yams, collard greens, and Mac n cheese. Everything was delicious - the collard greens were outstanding. We will definitely be returning.

We chose a booth. (Our fav seating choice) 2. VISITING FROM ATLANTA for our sons 14th birthday. So, wdyk? A 14, year old and his only request, was 2 spend it w/mom & dad in Savannah! 3. GREAT PLACES TO EAT was one if our goals andI wanted to take him to a restaurant that would add to the memories of this blessed occasion. I chose THE SMOKING EGG"! 4. BLACK OWNED was a great surprise. Getting to support small businesses that helps people who look like me, like us... And to get outstanding service with smiles and with a welcoming atmosphere, is a definite plus! 5.FOOD WAS DELICIOUS. 6.The Chicken & Waffles, was enjoyed by my husband. The hubs said that the chicken was cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of seasoning on them. 7.OUR SON AND I CHOSE the cheeseburger with fries. CHEESEBURGERS was given a thumbs because, they were indeed very tasty! Just be sure that, if you like your burgers cooked well done... Pls check it 1st, b/c. the burger looks well done on the outside but the inside was pink(ish). I asked for "well-done but not burnt" so maybe it was a misunderstanding so I didnt send the burgers back. My son said his burger was still "mooing " but he was going in. He devoured it! And I bit into it multiple times before I noticed it was pink. So you know it's good if you'll eat it after noticing it's not cooked how you prefer. And I'm not that girl okay!!! I bit, chewed, &, swallowed several times and was not giving it back! After the 1th bite, I was willing to risk it ALL mmmkkay! 7. GREAT FOOD, GREAT TIME WITH MY FAVORITE GUYS!
